We have 3 awesome workshops for you on the day after the Champs. They will be taught by our special guests from Canada, Myles Munroe and Tessa Cunningham.

About Myles and Tessa

Myles Munroe and Tessa Cunningham are Canada's West Coast Swing Champions, ranked in the top 5 in the world.  Myles' 21 years of diverse dance training includes 6 UCWDC World Championship titles. Tessa brings academic expertise to the partnership, with university degrees in both Human Kinetics and Education. As performers, they are known for their cutting-edge artistic choreography, positive youthful energy, and enviable musical expression. Their extensive teacher training and experience and loveable delivery of correct foundational technique inspires and empowers students of all levels. Workshop 1: Beginners WCS

10.30am - 12.30 pm

Learn the basic WCS techniques and moves from two of the worlds’ best WCS dancers. Myles and Tessa are fantastic teachers, you could not ask for a better introduction to authentic WCS.

 


Workshop 2: Modern Jive Performance Moves

1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Myles and Tessa will be sharing a selection of their eye catching performance moves. The moves will taught from a modern jive perspective. This workshop will be aimed at Intermediate - Intermediate Plus level. This W/S will be rotational although non-rotating couples will be welcome.

 


Workshop 3: Advanced Tricks and Aerials

4.00 pm - 5.00 pm

In this 1 hour workshop Myles and Tessa will present some of their bigger aerials and “Trick” moves designed to add a serious “WOW” factor to your performances. This is an Advanced level workshop. It will be non-rotational, please be sure to register with a partner for this workshop.

 


How to register for the workshops

You must register and pay for the workshops by April 21 or risk missing out on a place. Payment at the door on the day of the workshop is only possible if there is still space available.
