We hope you will come and join us for our fabulous Super Ceroc Dance Weekend here in Christchurch, 13-15 April 2012, a week after Easter.

What's on?

We have a magnificent mix of workshops and social events starting Friday night and going right through to Sunday evening. Here is a brief list of the entire weekend, follow links for more details.

FRIDAY night 13 April:

7pm Learn the Ceroc Chch FLASH MOB Routine!

7.30pm WORKSHOP: INTRO TO MUSICALITY
Teachers: Deb and Matt
Level: Suitable for all dancers who can freestyle.

8.30pm MUSICALITY PARTY !
Musicality is one of our specialties here in Chch, we love a great variety of interesting music, the evening will include a really wide range of inspiring dance music and some inspirational dance demonstrations.
 

SATURDAY 14 April:

10.30am - midday WORKSHOP: ADRENALIN AERIALS
Teachers: Royce and Catherine
Level: Intermediate Plus/Advanced (60 minutes Intermediate Plus, 30 minutes Advanced)

10.30 am - 11.45am SPARKLE-FEST!
Apply some sparkle-craft to your dance wardrobe with encouragement and advice from Deb-queen-of-sparkly-dance-shoes!

12pm Lunch
BYO lunch. Tea, coffee, water provided

During Lunch - 12.30-12.45 Review of FLASH MOB routine for those interested

1pm - 2pm WORKSHOP: SUPER STYLING FOR LADIES
Teacher: Deb
Level: All levels. Ladies only

1pm - 2pm WORKSHOP: MODERN JIVE MEETS MARTIAL ARTS FOR MEN
Teacher: Dave
Level: All levels. A basic understanding of most beginners moves is required. Men only

2.15pm - 3.45pm WORKSHOP: CEROC CHA CHA
Teachers: Deb and Matt
Level: Intermediate

4pm - 5.30pm WORKSHOP: SUPER COOL MOVES
Teacher: Hazel
Level: higher Intermediate

7:30pm to late TIES & TIARAS SOIRÉE!
Bigger and better than a party, with dance performances, supper, dance cards, prizes, awesome dance music and great company.
 

SUNDAY 15 April:

11:30am review FLASH MOB routine - Re:Start, Cashel Mall
12.10pm FLASH MOB! performance

1pm-2.30pm WORKSHOP: DYNAMIC DIPS AND DROPS

2.30pm - 5pm DANCE EXPO
Come and see some great products on display, available for order and for sale on the day - a variety of shoes and accessories, all in one place, just for you.

3pm - 6pm SUPER SUNDAY
including the "Star Challenge" an invitational competition for advanced dancers (3.45pm).

6pm - Farewell - Survivors photo! Well deserved recognition of those strong enough to make it to the end.

FAQ

Is Super Ceroc on this year?
YES!

What level are the workshops?
In general they are aimed at intermediate level but some will be more challenging than others. More details can be found in the description of the workshops.

How do I book for the Friday night "Musicality" workshop?
This workshop is included in the Friday night party ticket! Buy a ticket for the party and you're in! Door sales will be available

Is there a Tea Dance?
No, but we do have something similar, a bigger more exciting event called Super Sunday including an Expo of dance stalls, Star Challenge invitation only competition and social dance with groovy laid back music.

Have bookings closed?
In general - Yes. However, we will still take interest from men for the Ceroc Cha Cha and Dynamic Dips and Drops Workshops.

What level is the Aerials workshop?
It is a split level workshop, the first hour will be suitable for experienced Intermediates and the last half hour will definitely be Advanced. This distinction indicates the likely difficulty of the moves but it is mostly important for dancers who wish to compete in Ceroc competitions as it effects your grading.
